Environmental changes

This year we have

  • Reviewed our supply chain, to limit the products, air miles and road miles of deliveries.

  • Changed our fleet to hybrid vehicles.

  • Introduced Teams meetings to minimise flights and travel.

  • Researched and introduced more energy and water-efficient equipment.

  • Reduced plastics by 50% by using no more single-use plastic items in our chemicals.

  • Rolled out across the estate Solupac, which minimises the effect of cleaning products on the environment.

  • Joined the Green organisation and planted trees

  • Signed up to the SME Climate Hub, to get ideas from other business

In 2022 we will Set Targets:

Our Glen Zero campaign will be driven by setting targets, covering every aspect of our business operations being clear on our baseline data and comparing this against industry leaders providing the context to set targets, this will form part of our business strategy from 2022 onwards.

Our Goals for 2022 will continue to focus on:

  • Reduce, Reuse & Recycle how we manage waste

  • Energy Efficiency

  • Reducing Water Wastage

  • Reducing Plastic - we pledge to remove single-use materials wherever possible

We are working with external consultants to develop waste management strategies for Glen and our clients to maximise the ability to reduce waste internally and recycle more.

In 2022 we will be developing our practical locally-driven plans to move towards Glen Zero and our accreditations will demonstrate that Glen takes our Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) performance seriously.
