Keeping Children Safe in Education

We are fully aligned with the updated Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) safeguarding regulations.

Each September, all members of our education team complete their annual refresher training to ensure they remain fully aware of their responsibilities in protecting children and young people.

Kim Stevens, our Business Improvement Director, continues to act as Glen Group’s Designated Safeguarding Lead. This year, our teams have been asked to:

  • Watch the Safeguarding refresher video.

  • Familiarise themselves with the safeguarding policy at their school or site.

  • Attend any appropriate safeguarding training required locally.

Our Managers are following up with each employee to confirm the refresher training has been completed, responsibilities are understood, and training records are fully up to date.

  • Make sure you are familiar with the safeguarding policies at your workplace.

  • Refresh your knowledge by watching the Glen Group safeguarding video and complete your annual safeguarding training.

  • Know who the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is at your site — they are your first point of contact if you need to raise a concern.

  • Kim Stevens, Business Improvement Director, is Glen Group’s company-wide DSL and can be contacted at KimStevens@glengroupltd.com.

  • Education Managers will review safeguarding training with you during their next site visit and ensure your training record is updated.
