Comets Retain the Cup After an Unforgettable Dutch Tour!
It was time for the Comet's boys to take centre stage against their hosts, RKUVC Ulestraten—and both teams delivered an exceptional match.
RKUVC struck first to lead 1–0, before Comets fought back to reach half-time level at 1–1. The hosts regained the lead in the second half, but Comets refused to give up, equalising in the final ten minutes to force extra time.
The excitement continued, with the match eventually finishing 3–3. As winners of the 2025 fixture, Comets retained the cup after a contest that was close and exciting throughout.
Congratulations to both teams for a fantastic display of football and determination!
Memories to last a lifetime
The boys were warmly welcomed by their host families throughout the week, making the exchange about much more than the matches.
Glen Group’s Managing Director, Ross Barnes, also travelled with the team to lend a hand and support the boys throughout the trip.
A huge thank you to RKUVC, the host families, coaches and organisers for making this such a special experience. We’re delighted to have supported a trip that has created memories to last a lifetime.
Well done, Comets—what a week!
