Thanks to our July Local Heroes

Every day, individuals across our teams go above and beyond, making a real difference at work and in our wider community. We’ve been celebrating our Local Heroes for four years, and each of them exemplifies the values we stand for at Glen.
Each month, your managers shine a spotlight on the extraordinary efforts of our Local Heroes — and in 2026 we’re encouraging every member of the team to get involved. We’re delighted to continue receiving nominations from across our client sites.

Stacey Robinson
SDC Vantage Point, Devon
“I would like to nominate Stacey Robinson for the Local Hero Award for her exceptional commitment and support across Plymouth and Cornwall. Stacey has consistently gone above and beyond, regularly working additional hours to provide vital support where it is needed most. Over recent months, Stacey has assisted managers throughout the regions by carrying out audits, PAT testing, and supporting operational requirements across numerous sites. Her flexibility, reliability, and willingness to step in at short notice have been invaluable… Quite simply, we could not have managed without her support, and she is thoroughly deserving of this recognition.”

Sara Patterson & Julie Durham
The Rosary Catholic Primary School
“I just wanted to email to say how impressed we are with the cleaning at The Rosary and how this has changed over the last few months. Julie and Sara are a great team and get stuck in every single day. The relationships they have built with staff also reflect in their level of cleaning and their willingness to adapt to school events such as discos and staff meetings… Their care for our staff and children is 100%. Having them as part of The Rosary is undoubtedly on point and they fit into team Rosary like they’ve always been here.”

Kerry Guerin
Relief Cleaner
“I would like to nominate Kerry Guerin for a local hero nomination. Kerry is one of our best cleaners and she always goes over and above. As well as having her own full-time job, she recently stepped up to help me cover a 30-hour clean week. I honestly don’t know how she does it, but she deserves a medal… Kerry has now finished this cover task, but she stays on as relief and helps me across several sites when needed.”

Nicola Butler
St Luke’s Primary, Newcastle
“Nicola consistently demonstrates exceptional dedication to her school, and her actions this week truly reflect her commitment. As the first person on site on Monday, she immediately noticed that a flood had accumulated in the boys’ toilets and was spreading into the corridor. Before even beginning her scheduled duties, she took it upon herself to remove as much water as possible to ensure the area was safe before any staff arrived. This shows a proactive approach, sense of responsibility, and willingness to go above and beyond.”
— Feedback from Bethany Davie
Two brilliant teams celebrated for outstanding client feedback

Phillis Warwick, Gillian Walsh & David Hunter
K&N Carlisle
“We have received excellent feedback regarding the cleaning standards on site, with particular praise for the Ground Floor Male WC — comments received on how smart, clean, and immaculate the downstairs toilets looked. This is a fantastic reflection of the team’s hard work, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high standards. Thank you to everyone involved.”

Iris Russell, James Russell, Dean Collins, Jane Collins & Mukula Konia
K&N East Midlands Gateway Team
“Following on from today’s excellent audit score, I just wanted to bring to your attention the great work we have seen from Iris and the whole team over the past few weeks. As a site we have been having a bit of a move round/tidy up which has left several areas that haven’t seen daylight in many years needing urgent attention. The team have brought these areas back up to standard quickly… they have done site proud.”
