As temperatures continue to rise across the UK, Glen Group would like to remind all colleagues to take extra care while working during the current heatwave.
Working in hot weather can increase the risk of dehydration, fatigue, and heat-related illness, particularly for those working outdoors or in physically demanding roles. The wellbeing and safety of our teams remains our top priority, and we encourage everyone to take simple precautions to stay safe and comfortable throughout the warmer weather.
Drink plenty of water regularly throughout the day
Wear lightweight, breathable clothing where appropriate
Apply sunscreen when working outdoors
Take regular breaks in shaded or cooler areas
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during the hottest parts of the day
Look out for signs of heat exhaustion in yourself and colleagues

Managers and supervisors are encouraged to support teams by ensuring access to drinking water and allowing additional breaks where needed.
By taking sensible precautions and looking out for one another, we can all help ensure everyone stays safe, healthy, and comfortable during the hot weather.
Thank you to all of our teams for your continued hard work and dedication.
