Every day, individuals among us go above and beyond, making a significant difference in our workplace and community. We have been celebrating our Local Heroes for nearly four years, and each of these individuals exemplifies the values we stand for at Glen.
While our managers highlight the incredible efforts of our Local Heroes each month, we want to encourage every team member to get involved in 2025. We are delighted to continue receiving nominations!

Emma Mellor | SDM - North
Sam Andrews wrote:“
I would like to nominate Emma Mellor as a Local Hero in recognition of her outstanding commitment, leadership, and support during a critical time.
During the school stand-down deep clean, the SDM was on annual leave, and several team members failed to attend their shifts. This had the potential to create significant operational challenges for the remaining on-site staff.
I reached out to Emma to see if she could assist in pulling a team together. Within just two hours, Emma had organised a full team ready to cover the next two shifts. She also personally visited the site to check in on our on-site team, ensuring they were supported and everything was running smoothly.
The Academy later contacted me directly to express their thanks for Emma’s efforts, noting that what she did truly made a difference to them.
A heartfelt thank you from me to Emma for going above and beyond — your quick thinking, dedication, and support made a real impact for our team and the Academy.”

Mary–Jane Davies | Keyham Barton Primary School

I’d love to nominate MJ, who works at Keyham Barton Primary School, as a Local Hero.
MJ is an absolute ray of sunshine at the end of any gloomy day. Her positivity is infectious, and she brings light and warmth to everyone around her. She consistently goes above and beyond for every member of staff — always ready with a helping hand, a kind word, or a thoughtful gesture that makes a real difference.
Her dedication, compassion, and unwavering support truly embody the spirit of a Local Hero. MJ doesn’t just do her job — she uplifts the entire school community.
Thank you for continuing to celebrate the incredible people who make Glen Group so special.
Warm regards."

Dave Harrison | Mobile Support
Deb Ford writes:
“I would like to nominate Dave Harrison from the Mobile team for my area.Although Dave joined us in April, he has proven to be an invaluable asset to the business. He consistently goes above and beyond what is expected of him. No matter the task I assign to him, he approaches it with a "can-do" attitude and provides daily feedback.
Dave has shown remarkable growth and has become an essential member of my team, effectively supporting me in various aspects of the business. Most recently, he took charge of all calls and queries in my area while I was away from work, handling all calls redirected to his contact number and providing thorough feedback on my return, ensuring continuity of service to clients and the cleaning teams”
Trace Horton and Debra Shan | Moorhill Primary

Sharon Brown wrote:
“I would like to nominate my two work colleagues as they work so hard all the time but especially at the moment as I am off with a knee injury and they are cleaning the school, Moorhill primary school Cannock between them which is hard enough with 3 of us but they are going in early every day with me been off, I would like to say thank you to them both”
Paige Salmon | Well Healthcare
Andy from Well remarked:“
Paige has done a fantastic job this week! Really stepped up - everything we have asked her to do she has done - and with a smile. Well worth some recognition.”
