Movember

Glen Group is once again supporting Movember, a movement focused on improving men’s physical and mental health.

For us, it reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the wellbeing of our teams.

Men are often less likely to speak about their health, meaning issues such as prostate cancertesticular cancer, and mental health challenges can go unnoticed. Early awareness and early action save lives.

This month, we’re encouraging our colleagues to look after their health by staying active, booking check-ups, talking openly, and supporting one another. Small actions can make a big difference.

What we are encouraging the team to do:

  • Book a check-up – If something doesn’t feel right, get it checked.

  • Move more – Exercise supports both body and mind.

  • Talk openly – Don’t “tough it out.” Speak to someone you trust.

  • Support others – A genuine “How are you really doing?” can make a big difference.

Together, we can help stop men from dying too young.

Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men, and many are unaware of their risk until symptoms appear.

  • 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed in their lifetime

  • For Black men, the risk increases to 1 in 4

If symptoms or concerns arise, it’s important to speak with a GP. It may not be cancer, but early checks make a significant difference.
