Men's Health week: Prioritising Wellbeing at Work and Beyond

June marks Men's Health Week, an important opportunity to raise awareness of the physical and mental health challenges facing men and to encourage positive conversations about wellbeing.

At Glen Group, we recognise that our people are our greatest asset. With many of our colleagues working in physically demanding and fast-paced environments, taking care of both physical and mental health is essential to maintaining a healthy, happy and productive workforce.

Research continues to show that men are often less likely to seek support when facing health concerns, whether physical or mental. Men's Health Week serves as a reminder that looking after your health is not a sign of weakness – it's a vital part of living a longer, healthier and more fulfilling life.

There are many simple steps we can all take to improve our wellbeing, including:

  • Staying physically active through regular exercise

  • Maintaining a healthy and balanced diet

  • Getting enough sleep and rest

  • Attending routine health check-ups

  • Talking openly about mental health and seeking support when needed

  • Making time for family, friends and activities that promote wellbeing

At Glen Group, we are committed to supporting the wellbeing of our teams and creating a workplace culture where everyone feels comfortable discussing their health and accessing support when required.

This Men's Health Week, we encourage all our colleagues, clients and partners to take a moment to check in on themselves and those around them. A simple conversation can make a significant difference.

Together, let's continue to promote healthier lifestyles, positive wellbeing and a culture where everyone feels supported to be at their best. Find more information here: https://www.menshealthforum.org.uk/mhw
