Glen Group Reaches 2,000 Trees Planted Milestone

🌳 Supporting a Greener Future, One Tree at a Time

Glen Group is proud to announce a significant milestone in its sustainability journey, with 2,000 trees now planted through our partnership with the United Nations-inspired Trillion Trees Campaign and Gift Trees.

Originally set as a target for 2028, we are delighted to have achieved this milestone ahead of schedule, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to protecting the environment and creating a more sustainable future.

Every tree planted through the programme is estimated to sequester up to one tonne of CO₂ over its lifetime, helping to offset carbon emissions while delivering lasting environmental and social benefits.

The trees are planted in emerging nations and regions recovering from natural disasters, including flooding, earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions. Alongside capturing carbon and producing oxygen, many of the species planted provide fruit and nuts, creating sustainable food sources and supporting local communities for generations to come.

More Than Carbon Reduction

The initiative goes far beyond tree planting. It plays a vital role in restoring ecosystems and strengthening biodiversity by:

• Creating habitats for wildlife and enhancing biodiversity.

• Improving soil quality and helping to reverse desertification.

• Reducing soil erosion and lowering flood risk through established root systems.

• Providing shade, shelter, sustainable fuel and timber resources.

• Supporting long-term environmental resilience within local communities.

As part of the programme, Glen Group also receives independently verified carbon credits, certified under internationally recognised standards such as the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and Gold Standard. These credits provide assurance that our environmental contributions are genuine, measurable and independently audited.
