AFC Dukes Football Club has announced a community penalty shootout fundraiser taking place on Friday 19th December, aimed at bringing joy to children within the club who are facing Christmas without their parents. The event hopes to raise money to provide gifts, support and a sense of celebration during what will be a very difficult time for some of the youngsters involved.

With the festive season approaching, organisers say the goal is simple — to make sure every child experiences the warmth and excitement of Christmas, even in the absence of family. Supporters are invited to sponsor individual children, with a prize awarded to the child with the most sponsors. An additional AFC Dukes trophy will also be presented for the best penalty taken on the day.

In a gesture of community spirit, Glen Group Ltd has stepped forward with a small donation to help fund the initiative, recognising the importance of supporting children and families through hardship. One of Glen Group’s valued team members also volunteers with AFC Dukes, strengthening the connection and commitment behind the cause.
