Glen Group Extends Gold Membership

Glen Group has renewed its Gold membership of The Green Organisation, one of the world’s leading environmental groups. Gold membership is restricted to companies, councils and communities that can demonstrate the ongoing effectiveness of their environmental initiatives and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Kim Stevens of Glen Group said: “We’re proud to continue our relationship with The Green Organisation and to meet their demanding environmental criteria. Sustainability remains at the heart of our operations, and this renewal recognises our continued efforts to minimise our impact and operate responsibly.”

A spokesman for The Green Organisation commented: “Glen Group not only practices what they preach about environmental concerns, but they are maintaining and building on their strong record of environmental improvement.

Their continued Gold membership demonstrates a long-term commitment to protecting the environment for future generations.”

Through this membership, Glen Group is entitled to display The Green Organisation’s distinctive Green Apple logo on their literature, stationery and livery — identifying them as an organisation actively striving to reduce its environmental impact. Members also gain access to the organisation’s reference library, Eco Echo publication, and a network of like-minded organisations, along with a host of other benefits.

As part of their membership, Glen Group is also supporting The Green Organisation’s wider environmental work — including publication of The Green Book, an annual reference for environmental best practice, and humanitarian efforts such as supplying recycled goods, clothing, and kit to developing nations.

The spokesman added: “The Green Organisation is independent, non-political and non-activist, dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting positive environmental initiatives around the world.

Through our international Green Apple Environment Awards, we help shine a spotlight on organisations like Glen Group whose efforts inspire others to take action — and to realise the commercial and financial benefits that sustainable practices can bring.”
