Every day, individuals among us go above and beyond, making a significant difference in our workplace and community. We have been celebrating our Local Heroes for nearly four years, and each of these individuals exemplifies the values we stand for at Glen.

While our managers highlight the incredible efforts of our Local Heroes each month, we want to encourage every team member to get involved in 2025. We are delighted to continue receiving nominations!

Alayne McGrath | King Charles School

Sharon Kosters received the following feedback:“

I just wanted to drop you a quick email to say amassive thank you to Alayne. She has taken on cleaning the tables and the conference centre for us,and she is nothing short of brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble for her. She is incredibly thorough,and her standards are incredibly high! She always has a smile and is so warm and friendly, I wantedto reach out and say a huge thank you to her for all she does, we are really grateful. She's a star!”

Darryl Gillet | Somerset Housing Team

Over the past month, Darryl has consistently gone above and beyond, including giving up his weekends to provide additional help wherever it was needed. His dedication, commitment, and willingness to step in demonstrate an exceptional level of teamwork and support.

Jason Norah | Mobile Cleaner

The following feedback was received by Jackie Barrell:

“So Jason came in yesterday , and when I came in the place looked significantly cleaner than normal, however i thought that might just have been me BUT NO even staff who are normally the first to mention the state of the place have said its cleaner than it has been for ages and even smells clean...

Now that's not happened for a long time , (not sure about the smell because to me if it doesn't smell of Dettol its not smelling clean)

So please put him forward for employee of the month/year if you have one - as comments like those make the start of my day easier to digest.”
